Usage[edit]
Minecraft Times Of Day
- Any items in the player's main hand, off hand, or armor slots that are not at full durability will be repaired by experience orbs collected from any source. The rate of repair is two durability per point of experience contained in the orb.[verify]
- If multiple equipped items have the enchantment and need to be repaired, one is randomly selected for each XP orb collected. No item or location has priority for repair.
- Mending will ignore items that are already fully repaired. For example, if the player has a fully repaired helmet and a damaged chestplate, leggings, and boots, only the latter 3 are considered in the random chance to be repaired.[more information needed]
- If no equipped items enchanted with Mending need to be repaired, the experience is added to the player's total experience gauge as normal.
Obtaining[edit]
Mending counts as a treasure enchantment; it can be obtained from chest loot, fishing, raids, or trading.
Incompatibilities[edit]
Mending and Infinity are mutually exclusive; only one can be used on a given item in a survival world. Commands let both enchantments function as normal.
